Virginia Tech earned a B- on the Sustainable Endowments Institute’s Campus Sustainability Report Card, up a full letter grade from last year’s C-. Grades in some of the categories include:

Keynote Speaker: Anthony Flaccavento

Anthony Flaccavento, the Executive Director of Appalachian Sustainable Development, will give Sustainability Week’s keynote speech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22 in the Dominion Ballroom of Virginia Tech’s Squires Student Center. A reception will follow at the Blacksburg Farmers Market.

Event: Campus Sustainability Fair, 10/22/2008, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Exhibits displayed throughout Squires by 25+ groups: non-profit, student, campus and community organizations. Exhibitors will also include architectural/enginnering firms and contractors currently doing business at Virginia Tech.
